22/10/2023: Failed foster alert! Missy’s foster carers realised their life would be a barren desert if she was rehomed elsewhere and so, she will be staying put! Good job Missy!

Missy is a beautiful, black Saluki/Lurcher Cross who was rescued by Lurcher Link in Halifax after someone spotted her for sale for £10 on a free-ad site. She is in a foster home in Warrington, Cheshire, waiting for her forever, comfy home.

Missy is 9 years old and is a typical mature Saluki Cross lady; she loves her home comforts and doesn’t suffer fools gladly. She will tell off other dogs if they are getting on her nerves and can be aloof with people until she gets to know and trust you.

Missy is not a “cuddly” girl and would not appreciate small children, etc., throwing their arms around her. She would be best rehomed in an adult-only home or with older teenagers who will treat her with respect. She would probably be happiest as an only dog or with another calm dog who would ignore her. She has not been tested with cats.

Missy can be left at home for a couple of hours with no problem and she would still enjoy a fairly active lifestyle. She travels well in the car and walks beautifully on the lead. She tolerates being groomed but will show her teeth if you hurt her while brushing out tangles and knots, so best to cut them out instead.

Missy has been spayed and has no known health issues.
