This cute lady is called Lulu and she is a stunning Jack Russell/Chihuahua/Pomeranian Cross. She would really enjoy a relaxed home where she can enjoy her later years and is, in the meantime, being cared for by Hay Animal Rescue Team in Hay-on-Wye, Powys in Wales.
Lulu is approximately 10 years old but as you can see from the videos here, she is still a spring chicken at heart. Lulu is well-mannered and knows her name, however she appears to have had very little training in general. She travels well on the front seat of the car or in a crate.
Lulu sleeps through the night on the sofa or bed without any issues. She is house-trained and easy to have around. She is lovely with strangers and is happy to interact with anyone. However, she has never lived with children before and would prefer a quiet home, so any children in the home should be 12 years plus please.
Lulu walks well on a slip lead and doesn’t pull. She is not reactive on walks and is a pleasure. She does have a fairly good recall, but her prey drive can get the better of her. Lulu is good with other dogs, although they seem not to like her for no discernible reason, so she may be better suited to being an only dog home. Lulu doesn’t appear interested in livestock, but she will chase cats and other prey animals.
Lulu survived Pyometra, has now had a dental and mammary tumour removal, so she is ready to find her forever home. Lulu has very few teeth left, however, this doesn’t seem to affect her.
