Lola is an adorable 7-year-old Pug who has sadly found herself searching for a new forever home after her owner suffered a stroke and is no longer able to care for her. Her little world has been turned upside down, but despite everything, Lola remains loving, affectionate, and full of warmth for everyone she meets. Love Underdogs in Essex are hoping to find her the very best home where she can feel safe, cherished, and loved once again.

Lola is a true people dog who absolutely adores company, affection, and being close to her humans. If there’s a lap free, a sofa to snuggle on, or someone offering cuddles, Lola will be there in an instant.
She is playful, funny, cheeky, and bursting with character, always finding ways to make people smile. Lola is also quite the little sun worshipper and will happily follow the sunshine around the house just to stretch out in a warm spot for a cosy nap.

Lola is currently not very comfortable around other dogs, so she is looking for a home where she can be the only dog. Her new family will need to be patient, understanding, and willing to help gently build her confidence around other dogs over time. With the right support and reassurance, it’s believed Lola’s relationships with other dogs could improve in the future.
She also has an adorable little quirk — Lola loves collecting shoes! She doesn’t chew them, she simply gathers them up for fun, which perfectly sums up her cheeky and lovable personality.

Lola truly thrives on human company and loves being close to her people. She isn’t keen on being left alone for long periods and would be happiest in a home where someone is around much of the time, giving her all the cuddles, companionship, and “Lola time” she could wish for.

Lola is currently recovering in her foster home following successful BOAS surgery, and is doing so well. Her breathing has improved beautifully and she is already feeling much more comfortable. She is also currently on a gentle weight-loss journey, which will continue to improve her comfort, wellbeing and overall quality of life.

Lola could happily live with children aged 12 and over, and she would thrive in a calm, peaceful home where she can truly become part of the family. She has a goofy, cheerful personality and so much love to give. With her gentle nature and special charm, Lola is sure to make a wonderful and devoted companion.
