Beautiful Yasmin is looking for a very special home where she can finally relax, feel safe and enjoy the peaceful retirement she deserves. Yasmin came to Stray2Me Rescue from Romania and life in a home has been a big adjustment for her, especially after leaving her kennel companion behind.

Yasmin is now 12 years young and is safely being cared for in a foster home in Malvern, Worcs. She has found the transition difficult. It’s important to understand that she is an anxious girl who needs time, patience and plenty of reassurance to feel comfortable in the world around her. New situations can feel overwhelming for her and she can become worried when things are unfamiliar, noisy or unpredictable. She looks to her trusted humans for comfort and guidance, so she will need an understanding owner who can recognise when she is struggling, give her reassurance when she needs it and gently help her build confidence at her own pace.

Yasmin needs a calm, quiet environment. Busy, noisy households and overwhelming situations are difficult for her, so a peaceful home is essential with a patient and understanding owner. Someone who will allow her to settle at her own pace, offer reassurance and never expect too much of her too soon. Despite her worries, Yasmin has some lovely qualities to share. She enjoys being around people, is very good with other dogs and absolutely loves her food. Tasty treats may be a wonderful way to help build a bond with her.
Yasmin enjoys human company and would benefit from having a familiar person nearby to help her feel safe for most of the day. She would like a secure garden; somewhere safe where she can potter about without the added stress of busy surroundings, especially with a friendly canine companion. Yasmin is very good with other dogs and having another kind, settled dog in the home could help her feel more comfortable. She previously had a kennel companion in Romania, whom she left behind, and she would love that companionship again.

Quiet countryside walks would suit Yasmin once she feels settled away from heavy traffic and busy roads rather than hectic environments. Cats aren’t Yasmin’s cup of tea, so no cats in the home please. Car journeys aren’t her favourite either, and unfamiliar experiences can leave her feeling anxious, so a home that can keep unnecessary travel and stressful outings to a minimum would be ideal.

Yasmin won’t be the kind of dog who settles into a new home overnight. She may need time to decompress and learn that she is safe. Her new family must be prepared to take things slowly, without putting pressure on her, allowing her to settle in her own time. In return, they will be giving a deserving, older girl the chance to enjoy the comfort and security she so desperately needs. She may need more understanding than some dogs, but she is so worthy of that chance.

Yasmin needs a home that understands anxiety isn’t something she can simply switch off. She needs people who won’t rush her, who will celebrate the little milestones and who understand that progress may come in tiny steps. Some days may be easier than others, but with consistency, kindness and a predictable routine, she deserves the opportunity to feel more secure. Could you be the person who helps her feel secure enough to let her worries fade?
