Talkative Tilly (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Tilly is a 15 years old Beagle who came into Oldies Club care in January 2026 after a new baby arrived and the family could no longer dedicate the time to care for her properly. Tilly was a little anxious when she first arrived at her foster home involving a lot of pacing but she settled within three weeks. She is now generally fine to be left alone for a few hours, and will just sleep, but she does prefer company. Her anxiety does flare up after car journeys and visits to unfamiliar places such as cafes but mostly when just […]

Miss Millie (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Millie is a 14 years old Miniature Poodle x Bichon Frise who came into Oldies Club care in November 2025 as her owner was moving abroad. She arrived quite late in the evening but settled well overnight with only one small accident. She had noticeably thinning fur on her lower back and some lumps and bumps the rescue was aware of before she came in but her first visit revealed that she also had an ear infection. Bloods and urine were also taken for testing. Unfortunately the lump on her rear is inoperable and blood test revealed that Millie suffers from […]

Affectionate Oscar (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Oscar is an 12-year-old German Shepherd Cross who came into the Oldies Club in November 2024 after one of his owners passed away and the other went into a care home. Upon arrival Oscar relaxed straight away and was as good as gold over night. It took him about two weeks to settle into his foster home fully, getting used to the new routine and where all the comfy beds were. His fosterer was concerned about his teeth as he kept pawing at his face. At his first vet visit he was checked all over including his mouth. His teeth had […]

Curly Cuties – George & Charlie (Oldies Club Sponsor Dogs)
Charlie and George are 12 years old Cavalier x Poodles who arrived in Oldies Club care in October 2024 after their owner passed away. When they first arrived they struggled to settle in their first foster home. Apparently they had not had the best start to life and had been kept in a dog cage with access to the back garden but no walks or socialisation. They were rather under-socialised to the outside world, needy and overwhelmed the original fosterer. Thankfully we were able to move them to another home with a pair of fosterers to help the boys overcome the […]

Apprehensive Tiny (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Tiny is an 11 years old JRT who came into Oldies Club care in August 2024 as her owner could no longer take care of her. She arrived with her mum Molly after being in kennels for six month prior. When they first arrived they spent a couple of hours rushing around the garden and getting into everything. Possibly after a stint in kennels they were rather exciting to be back in a home environment. They seemed to settle well and spent their first night snuggled up together on the sofa. Although brilliant in the home from their first walk it […]

Darling Dexter (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Dexter is an 9 years old Staffie who came into Oldies Club care in November 2024 as his owner was moving and unable to take him with them. When Dexter first arrived he instantly displayed what a friendly boy he is. Also after a good look around his foster home he quickly demonstrated a knack for opening door handles. He eventually settled at midnight but was clearly missing his owner. A couple days later Dexter had his first epileptic fit in our care. The shaking lasted 3-4 minutes and then he was just very dazed for a while. He must have […]

Charming Thomas (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Thomas is a 13 years old Yorkie who came into Oldies Club care in September 2024 after his owner passed away. When he first arrived he settled in quickly exploring the house and asking for cuddles from his fosterer. He even rolled on his back for a belly rub so the change in his circumstances hadn’t impacted him too badly thankfully. At his first vet appointment Thomas seemed to be in relatively good health apart from having an infection due to bad teeth and needed to have a dental. He also have a luxating patella which is common in the breed […]

Charismatic Libby (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Libby is a sweet and lively 13 years old Jack Russell Terrier who came into Oldies Club care in December 2022 as her owner had sadly passed away. When Libby first arrived in Oldies Club care she was clearly blind in one eye as it was white but the other was bulging dangerously as she was suffering from glaucoma. She was quickly taken to the vets for an overall health check which was good and then booked in to have her eye removed. The operation was successful and Libby must have felt relief from the removal of the discomfort that it […]
