This is magnificent Mackie and if your idea of happiness is a warm little body curled up beside you on the sofa, she might just be your perfect match. Meantime, Mackie is living in a foster home in Andover, Hampshire, provided by Helping Dogs and Cats Rescue until she goes to her forever home. Senior dogs have so much love to give and Mackie is ready to give hers to someone special.
Mackie is such a sweet 10-year-old Pug/Jack Russell Cross (Jug) who lives for cuddles. She absolutely adores being close to her people and will happily follow you from sofa to bed, simply content to be by your side. Mackie still has that cheeky sparkle and loves exploring just as much as she enjoys her cosy indoor chill time. The perfect mix of fun and snuggles.
Mackie has previously lived with cats and could do so again. She is good with other dogs when introduced calmly. She can sometimes feel a little frustrated on the lead (she used to be an off-lead girl), but she has made amazing progress in foster and is continuing to smash her training goals.
Mackie would thrive as the only dog in the home soaking up all the love, but would be very happy to have visiting and walking buddies. She could live with children aged 8+ and is looking for a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by comfort, care and affection.
Mackie is on a special diet of Harrington’s Salmon Superfood to manage her allergies, which are fully under control without medication. She’s kept on a strict diet, although she does have a soft spot for raw carrots.
