22/6/2010 – Sad news from Four Paws Animal Rescue – little Susie passed away today. Sleep tight little one :(

8/5/2010 We’ve had an update from Susie’s foster carer:

Susie prefers not to be around other dogs – she doesn’t like them to get close to her. She is fine with cats though as they leave her alone. Susie has a limited diet but does love toast, chicken, fish, and especially ice-cream!

Susie likes to be around people and cries if left but she doesnt like to be handled very much, just the occassional soft stroke. She will snap if she doesnt want to be touched or if she is picked up. Her new owner would need to be aware of this and be prepared to accept her the way she is.

Susie is happy in her own way and just wants a comfy sofa and some company of the human kind. She will enjoy pottering in a garden, riding in a car or having small walks with her new owner. So if you can offer this special girl all the right things please fill in an application form, because she deserves to spend her remaining time in a home she can call her own.

19/4/10 Original entry:

Susie is a sweet little Yorkie cross who arrived in the care of Four Paws Animal Rescue in South Wales when her owner sadly passed away. Poor Susie had been in council kennels since before Christmas and the rescue aren’t sure of her correct age, although the vet has advised that she could be anything between 8 and 14 years old. She’s thought to be crossed with a Jack Russell and may even have some Corgi in her family.

Susie is in foster care and she’s been very quiet so far, but is a friendly girl and seems to have quite a laid back personality. She’s housetrained and is good with cats, but isn’t happy being around other dogs if they’re too bouncy. She’d be fine living in a home as the only pet or sharing and she wouldn’t mind living with older children.

Susie walks beautifully on the lead and thinks it’s wonderful if she gets a ride out in the car. She likes to enjoy a potter around the garden too, especially if the sun’s shining.

Susie is deaf, but does respond to visual signals. She has very few teeth left, so is being fed on soft foods. The vet doesn’t think she’s been spayed, but says she has no medical problems.
