3/6/2012 Sad news from Liverpool Dog Rescue – Jemma had a growth on her leg which was getting progressively worse so her family made the heartbreaking decision to have her put to sleep. Jemma was being rehomed by Liverpool Dog Rescue, but was fortunately still with her family and therefore with people she knew and loved. Sleep tight Jemma :(

Jemma and her friend Jake are looking for loving and secure homes either together or separately due to their owner working long hours and so they are no longer getting the exercise and attention they deserve.  They are currently being cared for by the Liverpool Dog Rescue.

Jemma is a lovely 10 year old female German Shepherd crossbreed.  She was originally rescued by the RSPCA after suffering severe abuse at the hands of her previous owner. This has left her wary of new people and dogs and at first she is quite reserved. However, she is a really loving girl when you can gain her trust, which usually doesn’t take very long.

Jemma would suit a quiet home with older teenage children but still enjoys her exercise.  She could live with a compatible dog but no cats.

Jemma is housetrained and non destructive. Apart from a few harmless fatty lumps (which have been vet checked) Jemma is in good health and is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

If you would like to apply to adopt Jemma, please email: LiverpoolDogRescue@hotmail.co.uk to receive an application form.

Please mention that you saw Jemma on the Oldies Club website.
