Teona (Safe Rescue, fostered Norfolk)

Please help Teona by sharing this page!

Teona is a fabulously sturdy girl of around 8 years who’s been in foster care in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk through Safe Rescue for a few months now. Not just any home will do for this lovely girl. She wants a lady owner and no children at home please. Otherwise, she’s an easy-going gem of a dog!

Teona’s most adorable feature is her short legs! She’s a big girl, built close to the ground but is actually surprisingly agile. She’s blissfully unaware that her shape is a bit funny. Anyway, dignity is overrated!

Teona really enjoys her walks and will happily plod along for an hour or more but shorter walks would be OK. She’s not a natural athlete!

Teona is a soppy girl and loves having a lap to snuggle up on. She’s well behaved in the house and can be left for a few hours when necessary. She’s a good girl in the car too!

When Teona was brought to the UK from a shelter in Romania she was in quite a state with an irritable skin condition and injuries from other dogs attacking her. Poor girl! However, several months on, she’s now in good condition and her confidence has returned.

Her fur has grown back nicely, covering the scars, but she still has a small hole in her neck which needs cleaning every day. Her new owner must be committed to doing this for her.

She’s well worth this bit of effort as she’ll be a beautiful, cheery and devoted companion! She’d be happy living with other friendly dogs, as long as there’s someone to supervise meal times.

Fancy a walkies then a snuggle?
