5/12/19 – Deloris has found a home!
—————

Dear Deloris has such a terrible story of human cruelty, but she has now been rescued and is in the care of Safe Rescue in a foster home near Norwich, Norfolk, where she hopes a lovely person will take her home and give her the wonderful life she deserves.

Deloris is a 7 year old, medium-sized Crossbreed. She was living in Romania where her life was one of hardship and struggle as she had litter after litter of pups, but there was one lady in the village who looked out for her and fed her. When that lady died, Deloris really was all alone in the world, except for the eight puppies she’d yet again given birth to. The villagers turned against her and beat her and tried to hang her. All but two of her pups died.

A rescuer friend heard of the awful life she was enduring and went to save her. She took her to safety and asked Safe Rescue to take her in and find her a loving home. Deloris is now enjoying the comforts of her foster home and is mixing well with other dogs, but she can be a little grumpy when they get too much in her face or try to steal her bed, which is quite fair enough.

Deloris is a laid-back and well-adjusted lady which is quite incredible considering what she’s endured. She is very friendly and affectionate with people and loves a fuss and a cuddle. She walks well on a lead and loves exploring. Deloris does have a very nasty scar around her neck from where her abusers tried to hang her, but this doesn’t seem to bother her at all.
