Dot is a gorgeous 10-year-old Blue Merle Border Collie who is at NAWT in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, because her owner sadly became too ill to care for her.

Dot is full of character and she’s an absolute delight to be around. She adores a fuss and she always races to greet you at the door. She will nudge your hand or rest her chin on your knee if the level of affection you provide isn’t up to her standards. She is happy with visitors coming in and out of the house and is housetrained and non destructive. Dot isn’t suitable to be around young children as she knows what she does and doesn’t like and will let you know so. She also needs a home as the only pet as she doesn’t enjoy having to share your company.

Dot needs her own garden to potter around in as she doesn’t like going for walks at all. She doesn’t like the rain either! She mostly enjoys sleeping in front of the TV, so if you are looking for a companion for afternoon naps and daytime TV then she’s the girl for you. She really does relish a quiet lifestyle. She is happy being left for up to 4 hours.

Healthwise, Dot sadly has kidney disease, but at this stage it requires no medication and can be managed with either a prescription diet from the vets or by home-cooking certain foods. She needs to lose some weight and this will help the touch of arthritis she has in her legs.

Could you offer Dot the love and quiet lifestyle she requires?
