5/4/19 – Stormy has been adopted!

————

Cute little Stormy is a 10 year old Pekingese Cross who once belonged to someone in Romania but was abandoned. Whilst living on the streets as a stray, he was savaged by some German Shepherds and ELI for Animals came to help. Stormy was rushed to the vets and stayed there for around a month. He had surgery and luckily his eye was saved. His eye has been okay these past two years but, in the future, he may need surgery (which the rescue will help with).

Stormy is now happily safe in a foster home in the Bournemouth/Poole area of Dorset and has adapted to the change so well. Despite his ordeal, he is still okay with other dogs and he now lives with an old, female Westie. They get on with no problem, but he tends to ignore her and much prefers human affection. He prefers female dogs to male ones and has lived with cats before.

Stormy is brilliant in the car and used to walking on a lead – he just plods along. He absolutely adores a fuss and likes to play with toys. The Rescue would love for him to find a home close to where he is being fostered and to remain registered with their trusted vet practice, but this isn’t an essential requirement. Whoever adopts Stormy will have such a great companion.

You can see more photos of Stormy on his Facebook page here.
