17/5/20 – Still need a home
It’s not often that there are three adorable siblings looking for a new home and it’s a huge ask, but they have just lost their doggie Dad and human Dad plus their home. South Yorkshire English Springer Spaniel Rescue would really like to keep them together in a new, loving home.
Buster, Poppy and Polly are 10 year old, liver and white English Springer Spaniels and were much loved by their previous owner who sadly died. There is not a lot of history on them but apparently they were adored by him and he spent all his time with them. When he was fitter, he used to work Buster a little but the girls were pets.
Buster, Poppy and Polly are friendly and happy dogs with both humans and dogs alike. They are a little unpredictable on a lead as their owner never used them, so a little work will be required on this. They are generally well-behaved dogs and, no doubt, if someone has a heart big enough to take on these three, they will find they have three lovely, loyal dogs.
They have a few veterinary procedures needed; nothing serious just vaccinations, neutering (although the girls are currently in season, so spaying will have to wait until the vet is happy to do it), slight skin irritation and issues with their anal glands. Hopefully, this will all be sorted out before they go to a new home but, if not, SYESSR will cover any veterinary costs relating to it.
Buster and Poppy both need to lose quite a few kilos to get them to a healthier weight. Buster also has a cough from a previous injury. It does not need any treatment but will always be there, the vet did say however that it may improve a little when he loses his weight.
