Sweet Speckle came into the care of Safe Rescue and is now settling happily into her foster home in South Shields. She came from a Romanian shelter where she wasted a heart breaking 4 years of her life.
Speckle was initially very frightened when she came into care as everything was new to her, especially the kindness of people. It took a little while for her to get used to attention and fuss, but she’s doing so well now.
Speckle is a 7 year old, medium-sized Crossbreed who has such a sweet nature and gets so excited to see her carers when they come in, bouncing and wagging her tail. She does still back off a little when contact is made, but this will change in time as she gains confidence with her own people. Speckle lives well with other dogs, although she does get a bit grumbly about sharing her bed.
Speckle enjoys her walks and she happily dances when the leads come out, but she doesn’t like to be hurried. She likes to take her time and sniff every blade of grass along the way. She would suit a quiet home where she can relax on comfortable beds and enjoy a stress-free life which she so deserves.
Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from Safe Rescue must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue.
