Darling Maeve is a 12 year old, liver and white English Springer Spaniel and she’s looking for a retirement home where she will be loved and cared for the time she has left. Maeve is being looked after by Leicester Animal Aid who would be happy to support her new owners with the veterinary care needed for her health. They would, however, need to be flexible enough to attend regular health checks at their Centre.

As Spaniel owners will be fully aware, Maeve is a loyal, loving and the sweetest thing ever. She maybe an older lady with her health not being as good as it once was, but, as you can see, she is loving life and is one happy little girl. She is a great companion, not asking for a lot, and could live with children aged 12 years and above and possibly another steady, easy-going dog, but she would probably prefer the quiet life.

Maeve has bags of character and will sit wagging her tail until she receives the next cuddle. She loves her food and tennis balls, but she does like to hide with them. She is now seeking a lovely, large garden to call her own which will be her sole exercise area since her legs aren’t quite what they were, and where she can sunbathe with her favourite people.

Some days, Maeve may even be up for a short potter in a quiet space, carrying her trusty tennis ball of course. Sadly, it is not just her legs that are letting her down as it is possible that she is also living with a life-limiting illness.

However, Maeve is still active, happy and free of pain, and simply wants a retirement home where she can be spoiled for the rest of her life.
