11/1/2023 – Poor Millie was found to have a large tumour and very sadly had to be put to sleep.

Millie is a beautiful, friendly 11-year-old German Shepherd who is with Dogs Trust Merseyside. She is now luckily in a foster home.

Millie is a glorious golden girl who is enjoying home comforts in her foster home. She loves to go for a gentle potter – her hips don’t allow much more – and she adores being made a fuss of. She walks beautifully on her lead and will happily say hello to other gentle dogs and walk with them. Millie is a friendly girl in general and takes every day in her stride, calmly exploring her surroundings or watching the world go by.

Millie can live with other calm dogs; probably those of a similar age would be more suitable for her. Children over the age of 10 should be fine with her, as long as they’re aware that she’s an older lady and may be a little stiff or tired from time to time. Millie is house trained and loves to be brushed.

Could you offer this very lovely lady a new home?
