As you can see, Sasha is a beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer. Sadly, she was used as a breeding machine, previously never seeing the light of day or feeling grass underneath her paws. She’s now safe in a foster home in Rattlesden, Suffolk, provided by The Fairy Dog Fosterers and looking forward to going to her forever home.

Sasha is gentle and affectionate. She’s 10 years old but thinks she’s about 8. She loves trips out in the car and going on walks. She gets excited on-lead if she sees birds, etc., but is not uncontrollable. After the first few minutes of a walk, she quietens down and walks nicely with a harness. She would make a wonderful companion or older family dog and is a super-happy, fit and healthy girl.

Sasha will attempt to steal food that is within nose height and has raided the bin, but she is not bothered in the least if you remove stolen food from her mouth. She sleeps well at night in her crate but needs company. Another dog would be great or sleeping where she can see you would help as she doesn’t really like being left alone.

Sasha is used to living with other dogs and is very friendly and kind. She isn’t overly keen on cats but will tolerate them. She’s good with children.

Sasha is fully vaccinated, worm and flea treated. The Rescue hasn’t had this beautiful girl neutered as her breeding days are numbered and don’t feel she would benefit from it. However, she can be neutered before going to a forever home should this be wanted by a future owner.
