So sadly, Rosie came the care of Starfish Rescue after being signed over by an animal rescue where she was tied up to their gate, so nothing is known about her past.

Adorable Rosie is approximately 7 = 8 years old and is a Cocker Spaniel who is now getting settled into an adult foster home with other dogs and visiting dogs in Kent. There are lots of videos to see how gorgeous she is here.

Poor Rosie was in such a state when she came into rescue and so broken when her foster Mum picked her up. She has had a hard life and suffered a lot of neglect. She has had no experience of this world and everything was terrifying. It’s believed she was kept in a cage as she has no muscle in her back end and was so weak, so skinny and her teeth are in a shocking state.

Rosie finds life very scary: doors banging; traffic noise; even the wind. Her toilet training is still a work in progress, but she is getting there and her foster mum has to stay in the garden with her.

Going forward, Rosie is the sweetest little soul you could meet. She has no malice in her and adores the other dogs. Once she trusts you, she is a loving snuggle bunny but, if she does not know you, she freezes with fear which is heart breaking. She loves her food and has already gained 2 kilos. She really surprisingly loves riding in the car and is a very good traveller. She is starting to take an interest in toys and even enjoys the odd zoomy.

Rosie is very special, loving, little dog who will need a very special family. She grows stronger and braver every day. She will need another gentle dog to guide her and help show her that life is good and humans are to be trusted. She will play with other dogs too. She is not walking miles and this is being built up. She will need an adult-only home which is not busy.

Rosie will be spayed, vaccinated and have a dental before she leaves care as well as being worm/flea treated.
