25/4/23 – Sally has found a home!

Sally is a wonderful black and tan Lurcher lady who loves nothing more than spending time in the offices of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in Brands Hatch, Kent, snoozing on her big, comfy bed. Sally was a stray and arrived in a neglected state. She has received a lot of medical care and new owners will need to speak to their vets about her.
Sally is 13 years and 1 month old and, despite her age, she still has moments of trotting about like a lamb and bouncing around in the paddock. She loves being around people and receiving lots of fuss and attention. She struggled to settle initially in new environments and will need owners who have lots of time and patience to help her to become happy and comfortable.
Sally prefers people to other dogs and can sometimes bark but has walked nicely next to other dogs. If she could have a similar sized friend to walk with on occasion, then that would be nice for her. It’s not sure if Sally has ever lived in a home as she spent a little time in a foster home and needed help with her house-training, but did start to pick up the routine and will need regular trips outside.
This lovely lady is looking for new owners who have previously owned a dog and can help her make the most of life as she has poor sight and hearing. A private, secure garden where she can spend her days pottering and relaxing is essential. She could live with a single carer if the hours being left are low and could live with older teenagers, but she would like to be the only dog in the home though maybe she could live with a compatible canine. She cannot live with cats.
