Evie (Dogs Friends, fostered Somerset)

So soft and fluffy, Evie is an adorable, 12 year old Japanese Spitz who originally arrived with Dogs Friends in August 2023 when her owner became unwell suddenly. It was hoped that they would be reunited but, very sadly, this wasn’t able to happen and Evie was signed over to find a new home.

Evie is the perfect companion dog; she loves to be with you and is a total sweetheart. She is a sofa surfer, not a hiker! She likes to snooze and is not an early riser. Evie would like a home with someone who can be with her all the time as she gets very upset when left alone and will bark.

Evie needs a home with someone who can either carry her up the stairs or who lives in a bungalow as she cannot do stairs and will not sleep downstairs on her own. She does live with another dog and does tolerate her, but barks at other dogs on walks and would probably be best as an only dog so she can be the centre of attention. She could live with sensible children, but it’s not known how she reacts to cats.

Evie is in foster care in Weston-Super-Mare and applicants will need to come and meet her there. She is neutered and she is deaf, but she has no other known medical conditions.
