19/02/2024 – Little Lillie has found a new home – we’re very happy to have helped her get noticed!

There she is! 11-year-old Lillie the Pug Cross is a gorgeous girl who is with Helping Pets North East, in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Poor Lillie has had at least two homes before going into rescue, so Helping Pets really want to see her settled now. After initially being a little quiet when she arrived, her lovely personality is starting to come out now. She has been a little bit playful and is starting to show her silly side. It’s very sweet to see!

Lillie is looking for a home where someone is around most of the day; a chilled, quiet and comfortable home where she will have plenty of attention. She wouldn’t want to live with young children as she does value peace and quiet. She could live with another dog as she is in foster with two other dogs, and she is not fazed by dogs she meets on walks.

Lillie asks that her retirement home be able to accommodate all the things she loves. These are: sniffy walks on her extendable lead; rolling, particularly in long grass; food, of any kind; good cuddles; a comfortable space on a sofa or bed; and finally a garden for her to potter around in.

She is a good girl in the car. She can grumble/scream if picked up wrongly, but she’s just letting you know that she is an old lady so does need gentle handling.

Lillie would make a great companion for someone with a quiet home. Could you be Lillie’s new person?
