1/10/2024 – Yay! Morrigon has found her new home!

——————-

Morrigon is a beautiful female Crossbreed, aged about 12 who was found as a stray and has been at Woodhaven kennels in South Milford, Leeds for over a year. Poor Morrigon!

We hope it isn’t her unusual name putting people off. If it is, remember that dogs don’t mind you changing their name, though obviously it’s easiest for them if you pick something that sounds vaguely similar. Or you could shorten it to Morrie.

This lovely lady isn’t coping at all well in kennels and the staff are so worried about her and are desperate to find her a forever home. We hope that she will be noticed a fabulous Oldies Club fan and find that home that has eluded her.

Morrigon is a lovely lady, weighing about 25kg, who has still has plenty of energy and has lots of love to give. She adores having cuddles and she loves everyone she meets. She would play fetch for hours if you let her!

She does pull on the lead at first, purely due to excitement of being out of her kennel, but will soon ease up when she is in a home getting regular walks and training.

Morrigon doesn’t like to be around other dogs and needs to be an only pet. Please don’t let this put you off her though as she is the sweetest girl and has so much love to give – she just prefers the company of humans to that of other animals. She’s lovely with people and could live with children aged 12+, purely because she gets a bit giddy at times and might be a little too bouncy for younger children.

The kennels told us: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Morrigon as she is getting more and more depressed at having to live in a kennel. We understand that not many people want to take on an older dog, especially one that can’t be in a home with other dogs, but surely someone must be willing to give our sweet Morrigon the chance of a happy life, even if it is just her last few years“.

Morrigon can be rehomed anywhere in England, provided you are willing to travel to the kennels to meet her. She cannot be rehomed to a home with cats as the kennels have no way to cat test their dogs.

Could you offer Morrigon her forever home?
