Nina (Dogs Friends, fostered Somerset)

Nina is a 9-year-old Staffy X who is with Dogs Friends, in a foster home in Weston Super Mare. Their catchment area is Somerset and surrounding areas such as Bristol and Bath.

Nina’s foster family took her in from a family member. She is very affectionate and friendly and loves to give kisses. She would probably be too much for small children but could happily live with older, dog-confident children.

Nina gets on well with some dogs, and is happily living with two other dogs, but she can sometimes lunge and bark when she is wary of new dogs (she is better with the boys!).

Sweet Nina loves walks and would enjoy a home where she will have daily adventures. She can be left alone for a few hours at a time so would be OK in a home where someone needed to be out for part of the day. She is also good in the car so would be happy to accompany you to work etc. Nina does bark at the front door, which previously sparked some complaints, so needs a home where this wouldn’t be an issue, and some training could be put in place.

Nina has arthritis in her back leg which has sometimes caused her to limp after a long walk. As time goes on, Nina may need pain management medication. In the past, Nina had recurring ear issues and so her adopters will need to monitor this and keep up an ear cleaning schedule. Nina is spayed.

Could you offer Nina a new home?
