What a handsome boy is Barney ! A gorgeous brindle Whippet cross of 8 yrs old, he has had such an unlucky story so far. All Animals Rescue and Rehome are looking for a happy ending for him, as through no fault of his own, he has had two owners since being rescued form the evil meat trade in China. Could you give this wonderful gentle boy the forever home he is seeking ?
After a 14yr flight he was understandably overwhelmed, but settled in amazingly well, and has become a model boy living domestic life. He loves nothing more than a snuggle, is a bit of a coach potato, and its sometimes tricky getting him out of bed, particularly when its cold and wet !
He is great with other dogs and so could share his home with others, or be an only dog. Barney is always happy to see you, and will literally throw himself at you for a cuddle. He really is the sweetest friendly boy. He doesn’t need lots of exercise, (although if you are a walker, he will happily walk for miles !) but does need a large garden or access to a secure field where he can do is zoomies, which he loves. He is brilliant on the lead, and off leash is currently work in progress, which is understandable, as everything is still all so new to him.
Barney is sure to steal your heart and gets compliments wherever he goes, as he is such a beautiful boy. On arrival he had a dental and had to have 7 teeth out, but is not expecting any further routine work. He is otherwise as fit a fiddle ! He is neutered, chipped, de flead and wormed, and tested negative for Rabies and Brucella prior to entering the UK.
Barney would do anything for food or a cuddle which really helps with training. He would so love a family to play with him and be his best friends. He could happily live with children aged 13 yrs plus, and will make the most wonderful addition to any family.
