‘OLD DOG OF THE WEEK’ FEATURES NEW PHOTOS AND A FRESH WRITE-UP FOR AN OVERLOOKED OLDIE THAT HAS BEEN ON OUR WEBSITE FOR A WHILE BUT IS STILL WAITING FOR A NEW HOME.
Cute little George is a Jack Russell Terrier cross of 9-10 years in the care of RSPCA Altrincham in Cheshire. He wants a home as an only pet so he has full lap time rights!
George recently had some much needed time away from kennels in a foster home where he proved what a Good Boy he is in the home. He’s clean, sensible and can be left for a while without issues. He’s content to sleep downstairs at night. He can live with older children from age 12. Mostly, he just wants love!
George loves fuss and cuddles. He is happiest when right beside his human and will be a great moral support in everything you do. Unless that involves a long car ride as he’s doesn’t travel well. He’d rather stay at home and wait for you if that’s the case.
George enjoys his walks. In foster care, he was glad to have two walks a day of about half an hour each. He does have a habit of trying to pull towards other dogs but he’s easily distractible. He’s a very bright and fun companion to have in the home, as well as out and about.
George has cataracts in both eyes but they don’t seem to affect him at the moment. He knows the usual commands and is eager to please. He would like a secure garden for pottering purposes and, of course, lots of affection and treats!
If George might be the right fit for you, please read RSCPA Altrincham’s adoption policy HERE and then contact them as follows:
