Sophie’s foster home cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful gentle girl. Looking for a forever home through Dogs4Rescue in Manchester she will make the perfect companion for some lucky person. She is a 7 yr old, medium sized black crossbreed lady and has won everybody’s hearts.
Sophie is a gentle, affectionate soul currently really enjoying her time in foster care. She’s calm, loving, and incredibly sweet-natured, and will fit into most homes.
Sophie would like to be the only pet in the home. She loves her walks and does show interest in other dogs without wanting to jump or bark. She has shown a little reactivity in the past but continues to improve with a confident and patient owner. Sophie responds well to commands when passing other dogs, however she does like to chase squirrels and isn’t a fan of cats
Sophie has been a dream in foster, described as playful and loving her toys. She has been affectionately nicknamed “Snuffs” after her little sneezes when playing. She is relaxed in the home and can be left alone for a couple of hours. She settles well and sleeps until you return.
Sophie travels well in the car, and is very bright. She knows her name and is very quick to learn new things. She can be a little unsure of men at first, but quickly builds trust with men she sees on a regular basis who are kind to her and more importantly give her treats ! In fact, the man in her foster home quickly became her favourite person!
Sophie will need her new humans to be committed to continuing working with her, so eventually she is totally relaxed with other dogs and can build on her social skills. She would also appreciate a forever home where people at around for much of the time and can give her the love and affection she deserves.
In summary, this wonderful gentle girl is seeking a calm and loving home where she can continue to thrive and grow and in return she will repay you tenfold with love and devotion.
