Boysie is the cutest Toy Poodle looking for his forever home through Starfish Dog Rescue. He is being fostered in Gloucestershire having been rescued from a breeder and now deserves a quiet and peaceful retirement home where he can be thoroughly loved and spoiled.
Boysie is 7 yrs old and has spent his life to date surrounded by multiple dogs in a rural setting. His move to his foster home was overwhelming for him, but he has settled in remarkably well. He is currently sleeping in his crate at night in the bedroom and his house training is coming along nicely.
He gets on well with other dogs, behaves nicely around them, and travels well in the car. A visit to a secure field was a very special day for Boysie. Check him out here . He is sharing his foster home with other dogs, and again is relaxed and nonchalant around them. He can often be found relaxing next to another doggy chum having a snooze.
Boysie would like a peaceful, adult home, with another calm, confident dog of similar size with whom he can feel safe and from whom he can learn. His new human(s) will need to be patient, ideally have experience of owning rescue dogs, and allow Boysie time and space to get used to this new way of life. He is such an affectionate little chap that just wants to be loved and close to his people
Boysie has been to the vets for a full health check and to begin his vaccinations. He has now been neutered and was also treated for an ear infection which is ongoing. A dental examination showed that he had only six teeth remaining, all of which had to be removed due to significant infection at the back of his mouth. He is now on two courses of antibiotics and will return to the vets in two weeks for a further check. It’s likely he has been living with considerable pain, but he is now recovering well in his foster home.
This amazing little boy is ready to discover just how wonderful life can truly be, surrounded by love, kindness, and a home to call his own..
