Cute, little Lola is a Crossbreed who has come into the care of Foal Farm Animal Rescue in Kent due to the ill health of her owner who could no longer care for her. She was signed over to the local authority so little is known about her previous life, but she does her best to keep her kennel clean and settles well. Lola deserves to be in a loving home now and kennels are no place for her.
Lola is an 11 year old Crossbreed lady who still acts like a 5 year old. She has a real spring in her step and loves going for a walk. She has been friendly with everyone that she meets and is a very loving girl who enjoys sitting on your lap.
Lola would like an adult-only home with patient adopters who will take the time to get to know her personality and her quirks. It’s not known whether she has had a bad experience previously with handling which is why she can be defensive, but the Rescue will guide adopters on how to help Lola feel more confident being handled. She just needs a family who have patience and will take the time to build trust and not push her, as she really is a sweet girl who will be a loving companion.
Out and about, Lola is a joy to walk. She can also be picky about which dogs she likes, some she will ignore but others she may bark at. She would be best suited to a new home where she is the only pet and her new owners may need to gently expose her to different dogs, as perhaps socialising is something she has not been used to.
Lola isn’t always keen on being handled. Whilst she enjoys affection, when it comes to seeing the vet she can be snappy. She is also not a fan of her nails being clipped or being groomed. On arrival, she had some knots behind her ears that she wouldn’t allow anyone to touch and she does not like a muzzle being put on. However, with patience and the help of some cheese, she did eventually allow them to be cut out.
