Little Louis is the sweetest 10 year old small male Miniature Pinscher cross breed. Dogs 4 Rescue in Manchester are looking for a forever foster home for him where they will cover all of his medication, food and veterinary fees for the rest of his life. Louis has given so much love till now and deserves a loving and comfortable home where he will be spoilt rotten and cherished.
Louis does have several other age-related medical conditions. He has hypothyroidism and some age-related pain. Following a road traffic accident before he was rescued in Cyprus, he has a pin in his hip, so he is on long-term medication to keep him comfortable. Because of the old injury to his hip, Louis has a slightly unusual gait. and whilst he can currently manage stairs, he does sometimes need a little carry up.
Like many senior dogs, his health is gradually declining. He is also beginning to lose his sight and hearing, which means sudden movements can startle him.
Louis just loves his food and a pocket full of treats will make him a very happy boy !
Louis loves people but can become frightened if someone suddenly grabs him by his collar, and he may bite in that situation. Understanding his body language and handling him gently will be important.
This wonderful little chap is looking for someone very special to open up their heart and to love and cherish him for the rest of his life.
