Sociable Merlin came into the care of Safe Rescue recently from a private shelter in Deva, Romania. He is now safely enjoying a new life with home comforts provided in his foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, until he finds his forever home.

Merlin was one of a litter of puppies abandoned at the shelter as a puppy and, sadly, has spent his life there until now. He is around 7 years old and is a medium sized, black Labrador Cross. He’s always cheerful and friendly and enjoys making new friends.

Despite the limitations of shelter life, Merlin is a confident and cuddly boy who will be an easy addition to most homes. Simply, Merlin is a happy-go-lucky boy who loves people.
Merlin can live with or without other dogs and would be comfortable around respectful children aged 8+ years old. He has not yet been cat tested but can be if required.

Please note – Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full details of their rehoming policy are on Merlin’s home page here.
