Ralph is a medium-sized Golden Labrador cross, around eight years old. He spent many years in a public dog shelter in Romania before being brought to the UK by Safe Rescue. He is now settled in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, and is patiently waiting to meet his forever humans and start his new life.

Ralph is slowly getting used to domestic life, although some things are still a little strange for him. Having never been shown love and affection before, he isn’t quite sure what to make of humans wanting to cuddle and spoil him—but he definitely likes it! He can be a little reluctant when asked to do new things, such as going for walks on the lead, but it’s clear that once he tries something, he realises it’s actually quite nice. He just has a bit of a stubborn streak and needs gentle encouragement.

Everything is still very new for Ralph, so it’s completely understandable that he is taking things at his own pace. He gets on well with other dogs, but it’s felt he would thrive best as the only dog in the home, as he doesn’t like to share his things and truly deserves to have all the love and attention from his new humans. Ralph could live with dog-savvy older children aged 12 years and above, and he has not yet been cat tested.

This gentle and stubborn soul deserves the very best forever home and will make the most wonderful companion.
Please note – Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full details of their rehoming policy are on Ralph’s home page here.
