Toby is the most wonderful English Springer Spaniel who is looking for his forever home through UK Spaniel Rescue in Northumberland. Arriving in rescue through no fault of his own, but his family had a change in circumstances and could no longer give him the attention and time he deserves. Described as a real “sweetie” by his foster mummy, he is such a lovely boy who will make some lucky person the most wonderful companion.
He is 9 years old, but don’t let that fool you as he’s active and full of fun. His energy, fitness and enthusiasm is that of a much younger dog. He would love to join a family that can keep him entertained. This said, he is a calm boy and eager to please.
Toby could live with cats, children aged 12+ and would like to be the only dog in the house. He is a people dog and not overly interested in other dogs, preferring not to say Hello when he meets them outside and avoiding excitable dogs. For this reason he would like to be your only dog. If his humans are around, then Toby is a very happy boy.
Toby is not phased by anything and will have a try at most things. Quick to learn, he has recently started doing some games and retrieving with his foster mummy and really loves it. He can do agility tunnels and ramps too, and is proving to be a real star !
He is described as easy to care for, a happy soul, calm and quiet. He doesn’t bark when visitors come to the door and is also fine being bathed and groomed. Toby really does sound like the perfect gent !
He is housetrained, not neutered and has no medical concerns.
In summary, Toby is a loyal and affectionate boy that will make the most perfect companion for some lucky person(s)
