Special Spiky was found abandoned in the street in 2020 living outside a hairdressers. He’s now safely living in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk, under the care of Safe Rescue who would love to see him enjoying the life he deserves in a loving, forever home.

Spiky is a large Crossbreed and is around 14 years old. Nothing is known of his life previous to this, but he’s super friendly and so must have known kindness from humans in his life. He likes all people of all ages and is a favourite with everyone who meets him.

Spiky is good with other dogs and can live with them, but he would also be very happy to be the only dog. He would be fine to share his home with children of all ages. Spiky has not been cat-tested but could be if necessary.

Spiky is still enjoying his walks but will need to build up his exercise limits as he’s currently carrying some extra pounds. He would fit into most home environments and generally just walks around with a big daft grin on his face as he’s delighted to be out of the shelter.

Please note – Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full details of their rehoming policy are on Spiky’s home page here.
