Poor little Polly has been living in a world of scary giants for some time, but she’s luckily come into the care of Safe Rescue recently and living in a safe foster home in Norwich, Norfolk. She is looking forward to many years of lovely times to make up for what she has suffered in the past.
Polly is a small Crossbreed aged around 8 years old and was rescued from a Romanian shelter. She is looking for an adult-only home and can live with or without other dogs. She also wags her tail furiously at the resident cat.
Poor Polly is distrustful of most everyone. Maybe she had a home and someone who loved her once upon a time because, when you give her time to trust you, she’s extremely sweet and loving. It’s quite pitiful to see her flinch at the touch of strangers and it’s hard to imagine what she’s seen and been through to evoke such fear.
Polly will need an experienced adopter and a quietish home with not too many people coming and going. She’s very confident manoeuvring around a pack of dogs and gets on well with the cat, but she could also be the only dog in the home.
Polly loves her walks and is really only middle-aged for a dog her size, so has lots of time to enjoy a lovely life ahead to make up for whatever she’s suffered in her past.
Please note – Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
