25/8/2013 We have had a lovely little update on Maisie who has been making the most of the summer in the strawberry patch – do have a read it’s very sweet, just like her! ———————————– They say the best things come in little packages and 12 year old Maisie is proof of that. She is a 12 year old Yorkie with several health problems but she still enjoys life and her fosterers describe her as a tiny dog with a huge personality – please read her story and see if you could consider helping to sponsor her so that she can be comfy in her retirement years

Gentle Benji Ben (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
Gentle Ben, now affectionately called Benji by his foster carer, is going to stay in Oldies Club care due to several health issues. This lovely old lad will continue to enjoy walks, treats and back rubs as well as the company of three doggie friends in his foster home. He will be loved and cared for in his old age and would love it if some human friends would consider becoming a sponsor for him…

Sweet little Shola suffers from several health issues that need constant treatment, so it has been decided that she will remain in Oldies Club care for the rest of her days. She still has a zest for life and loves human company, constantly staying close by her foster carers side. A real little star of a dog who deserves a very comfy retirement.

Baxter is a 10 year old Parson Russell Terrier who came into Oldies Club care because his owner no longer had time to look after him. Baxter needed an experienced, quiet home with someone who able to give him time to settle in.

Due to the combination of Minnie’s health problems and the lack of interest in adopting her since she arrived in Oldies Club care, we have decided to place Minnie into our sponsor dog scheme. This means that she will remain in permanent foster care (with the lovely home who have cared for her, for so long), with Oldies Club continue to cover the cost of her vet bills, for the rest of her life.

Molly Basset has suffered some sad times and ill health, but continues to enjoy life and has charmed her fosterers with her funny Basset ways. Typically of her breed she is quite a character and very easy to love. Schmedley (Oldies Club, fostered Leicestershire)
Schmedley had a fun-filled weekend with his lovely foster carers, but it tragically turned out to be his last. Schmedley had a huge tumour on his spleen and it ruptured. We are all shocked to have lost this handsome, intelligent boy.
