    March 2011. Sadly, Bentley has passed away. He had a wonderful year with his adoring new owners and our thoughts are with them.

    29.6.10 We have just heard the sad news about Arctic. The family who rescued her had decided to keep her as there had been very little interest but very sadly Arctic died last week. At least she had love and care for the last part of her life. Run free, Arctic.

  • Marvellous Molly – gentle Crossbreed (Oldies Club, fostered Berkshire)

    6/6/2010 Poor Molly has had to be put to sleep due to kidney failure. Oldies Club are very grateful to her wonderful foster Mum for giving Molly lots of love and TLC in her final months. Sleep well Molly :(

  • Evie (Rescue Remedies, Surrey)

    1/4/2010 Poor Evie didn’t make it to a new home. We’ve had this sad update from Rescue Remedies … Sadly Evie’s tumour worsened and her health deteriorated. We had to make the decision to put her to sleep. She was loved by us all and the kennels she was in was owned by a Rottie fan who made her last days with us very comfortable. Run free Evie :(

  • Midge (Ardley Rescue Kennels, Oxfordshire)

    9/6/10 – We just had the sad news that Midge was put to sleep as the pain was just too much for the poor boy anymore. He had a good last couple of months with his new family and at least his last memories were happy ones.

  • Sandy (Ruff Luck Rescue, Birmingham)

    19/2/2010 Poor Sandy has sadly passed away. He had received a clean bill of health and was out on a home trial with a new family. His passing was peaceful. Sleep tight Sandy :(

    19/1/10 Poor little Sparky has sadly passed away due to sudden ill health. Sleep tight sweet boy.

    11/12/2009 Such sad news today. Little Chloe was found to have aggressive cancer so the decision was made to put her to sleep so she wouldn’t suffer. Sleep tight, little one.

  • Queenie (Halfway Home Dog Rescue, Notts)

    07/12/2009 Sadly Queenie was found to have a fast growing, inoperable tumour and the sad decision was made to let her go before she suffered too much. Sleep tight, sweet one.

  • Tessa (Plantation Dog Rescue, E Yorkshire)

    10/7/10 Tess has very sadly passed away. Our thoughts go out to her carers at Plantation who thought the world of her.

  • Dream (Dogs Trust, Merseyside)

    2/12/09 Poor Dream has had to be put to sleep. She’s been very poorly for a while and had pneumonia. Sleep tight Dream.

  • Rossi (RSPCA, Tameside and Glossop)

    8/2/10 Poor little Rossi had to be put to sleep due to his age and illness, leaving his little friend Ally to look for a new home on her own. Sleep tight, little one.

  • Charley (Ark, Lincolnshire coast)

    7/12/09 Poor Charley has had to be put to sleep. She’s been unwell and a vet examination has shown up mammary tumours and a growth on her spleen. Her friend Defer is pining for her :(

  • Sheba (Dogs Trust, Merseyside)

    29/10/2011 Some sad news from Dogs Trust – Sheba collapsed yesterday and sadly there was nothing that could be done for her. We are so, so sad to lose our lovely girl as she has been like one of the family for so many years! Sleep tight Sheba :(

    5/11/09 We’ve had this very sad update from EGLR … It is with great sadness that I have to write that Rosie was put to sleep on Monday. She had a wonderful 2 months in her foster home and was loved so much. She will be greatly missed.

    12/11/09 We’ve had some sad news today – Kai has had to be put to sleep due to an illness. Sleep tight Kai.

    11/9/09 Sadly poor Titch has been put to sleep today. She had been unwell for a few days and the vet found an inoperable stomach tumour. Thanks to her wonderful foster mum, Titch has had plenty of love and TLC. Sleep well Titch.

    11/07/09 Charlie didn’t have to wait long – he’s now settling happily in a great new home
