9/10/10 A tragic end for this poor dog. He has had a massive fit and passed away. It’s just not fair is it? Sleep in peace now Buster.

This lovely, affectionate lad has a sad story to tell. He is called Buster and he’s a Dogue de Bordeaux, approximately 7 – 8 years old, currently being cared for by the Iron Mountain Dog Rescue/Battersea.

Unbelievably, Buster was tied to a tree with a bottle of his epilepsy medication and left. He is confused and very sad in kennels, but perks up when there’s a cuddle on offer. He has a glorious nature, and is the perfect companion dog for someone who doesn’t go too far on walks!

Buster has met young children and was very, very gentle. He is brilliant on the lead (if a little slow) and walks happily by a pushchair. Buster isn’t fussed about other dogs, large or small, and is being cat tested.

Buster has epilepsy and Battersea will provide as much ongoing medication as they can afford, though his dosage will be quite low as he has yet to have a fit while in care. He is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.

Buster is looking for looking for a stable, loving retirement home. Whilst he may perk up once his dosage is stabilised, he’s no lively youngster and isn’t too keen on walking far. He needs affection and a loving, indulgent owner who doesn’t mind snoring!
