6/2/12 Tasha has sadly had to be put to sleep after an exploratory operation found that her liver was irreparably damaged and there was no treatment that could help her. Rest in peace now Tasha.

Tasha is a 9 year old sable-coloured Husky x GSD. This stunning girl is in the care of Dogs Trust – West Calder and she attracts a lot of admirers.

Tasha is a sweet and friendly girl who needs a special home. She has some issues over resource-guarding and can show aggression over food, so needs an adult only home. She mixes well with dogs and she likes to play outside with dogs, but due to her issues over food she would be best as the only pet. She has lived with cats before but will chase outside cats.

Tasha is housetrained, happy to be home alone, and is good in the car. She is so clean that she has Dogs Trust staff well trained and asks to get out of her kennel first and last thing, bless her! She can be a little aloof until she bonds with someone, which has been misunderstood in her previous home. Poor Tasha has had several homes and now needs some stability and love in her life.

Tasha loves her walks, and she likes to climb up high on the exercise apparatus at the Centre and watch the world go by. She is a gorgeous girl who enjoys company but can also be independent. She is very amiable and obedient but doesn’t like lots of demands to be placed upon her. She would like patient, sensible owners who have had dogs like her before and are used to big, independent breeds.

Tasha is very much loved at Dogs Trust but she needs an owner to call her own. Her wolfy-looks make the staff laugh, especially when she cocks her head like she is listening to every word they say.

She is spayed and is being rehomed on a “full foster” basis meaning that Dogs Trust will help pay her vet bills for the rest of her life.
