14/12/17 – Fabulous news! Queenie and Gladys have found a new home together in time for Christmas. Yay!

Queenie, a Jack Russell girl who is thought to be about 10 years old, and her 6-ish year old devoted friend Gladys the Jack Russell Cross, are seeking a new home together. They are at Green Acres Animal Rescue in Pembrokeshire.

Gladys

These two little cuties are both nice and energetic for their ages. They are friendly girls who could live with other dogs and with older children but they need a home without cats.

Although Queenie and Gladys arrived at Green Acres separately, they have become the very best of friends in rescue and they do everything together. They eat, sleep and go for walks together, and they even clean and wash one another – they are so adorable and it is so endearing to see them supporting one another through adversity. It would be terrible to have to part them, so please only apply if you want to help them both.

Queenie is the older girl and she was found wandering out on her own with a massive mammary tumour which has since been successfully removed by the rescue’s vets. Gladys is the younger one and it is obvious that so far her life has consisted of simply producing pup after pup after pup. How terribly sad.

Both are very sweet girls who just need a warm bed and lots of love for the rest of their lives. Green Acres say there will be no adoption fee for Queenie but one will apply to Gladys. They are both neutered and have no current medical needs.

Green Acres say: “Gladys and Queenie, (we call them ‘Gladie’), have the sweetest friendship, born from a not so great history on both parts, but a chance meeting could mean a happy future together. Can you help them complete this journey?”
