13/3/18 – Cocoa has found her forever home after being seen on the Oldies Club website!

Coco came into the care of South Yorkshire English Springer Spaniel Rescue when her owner went to live overseas. Sadly Coco couldn’t go along, so she needs to find a new home where she can live out the rest of her retirement.

Coco is 9 years old and she has been blind since she was 5, due to Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). This is not a painful condition and Coco doesn’t need treatment or medication, just a little extra care and consideration by her family. Ideally she needs a tidy home where items aren’t moved around very often, and when out and about she needs you to be her eyes and make sure she doesn’t walk into things. Other than this, her condition does not present too much of a problem, so please don’t be put off applying to adopt her.

Coco is a happy friendly girl. She loves people of all ages and once she’s had a gentle introduction she’s friendly around other dogs. Coco is still fit and active and she has a lot to offer her new family. She’s good on and off-lead, but just needs off-lead walking to be in suitable open areas where she’ll be safe.

Do you think you have the right sort of home for this wonderful lady?
