18/05/18 – Matti has been adopted! Hooray!

Little Matti is the cutest Terrier cross Chihuahua around! He is also a terrific little dancer and tail wagger who loves it when you sing him a song. He is around 8 years old and currently in a foster home provided by Safe Rescue.

Matti is a funny endearing little character but he gets tense when you stoop down to pick him up or give him a fuss. Once you have him, he will relax enjoy fuss and a cuddle. This is a common behaviour for a dog that has been abused. It is so upsetting to see this cute little one huddle in self protection mode.

Matti needs a quiet and understanding home with a family who will take it slow with him. In time he will learn to trust and be more relaxed. But for now, he is just the cutest little worrier in town!

Matti mixes well with other dog but is a real demon around food with them. He clearly has had to fight for everything in his sorrowful little life and it’s going to take awhile for him to realise that no one is going to take his food or hurt him anymore. His food issues are just with other dogs, not people.

Matti does not want to live with rowdy young children, but older respectful ones could be okay. He has not been cat tested.

Little Matti is a true joy to have around and he will amuse you with his quirky little ways. If you can offer him a loving home and help him forget his sad past, please contact Safe Rescue stating his reference 0718451 as follows:
