25/3/18 – Cute Tye has found his new home!

Tye is a 13 year old Jack Russell Terrier x Corgi who finds himself with Almost Home Dog Rescue in North Wales due to his owner’s poor health. The rescue is seeking a permanent foster home for Tye and they will cover his costs.

Tye had been with his owner all his life, and so, as you can imagine, Tye was confused and a little unsure at first, but he is now doing really well in his temporary foster home. He feels particularly safe in a crate and happily goes in and out by himself.

Tye is housetrained and is OK to be left on his own for a few hours. He settles on his own at night either in his crate or on the sofa. He walks nicely on the lead and he travels well in the car. He likes to play and have outdoor adventures and he is an intelligent boy. He also loves fuss and enjoys being close and to snuggle.

He has been great with visitors to the home and he has adjusted well to living with two other dogs. He would be happy to live with dogs in his forever foster home but he needs a quiet home without children. It would be perfect if you have JRT or Corgi experience as he can be a bit grumpy and is uncomfortable with some handling, but treat him like a dog, with a few rules and a bit of time and patience and then he’s absolutely fantastic.
