Bilbo is a bright and friendly, 10 year old Jack Russell x Staffy in the care of Foal Farm Animal Rescue in Biggin Hill, Kent. He could live with sensible, older children but wants to be the only pet at home. He’s a very affectionate boy and so clever, he’d like to tell you himself in his own words…
“Hello! My name is Bilbo. I have been here at Foal Farm for many months now and it seems that no one wants me. I am desperate to give someone all of my love and I’m really stressed out in the rescue environment.
“I am great with people but I do not like other dogs. Although I have gone on group walks here with other dogs, I just can’t cope when they get in my face! I love to play ball with the walkers here at Foal Farm and enjoy my long walks round the fields.
“I really don’t like being in a kennel and so now I am living in the office, which is much better!
“But it’s still not as good as having a home of my own and I get very sad when my carers have to go home at night time. Due to being left by my previous owner, I may need time to adjust to being left in my new home, as I am worried about being left again.
“The staff here at Foal Farm have told me that they will happily offer support and put in place a training programme for me when I find my ideal person. I just want someone to notice me and fall in love with my shining personality!”
Bilbo is neutered. When he’s stressed he’s prone to irritable bowel which is why he looks thinner in some of these photos. He was losing weight in kennels but he’s much improved now he has human company during the day. He’s such a loving boy and is also very playful. Always ready for a game of fetch!
