19/8/19 – We are so pleased to hear that lovely Millie has found a wonderful long-term foster home!

An urgent appeal from Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool for a foster home for poorly, abandoned Millie:

“On Tuesday 9th July, poor Millie was abandoned near to the rescue, left tied to a poo bin, alone in the rain.

We were heartbroken when we discovered her and upon closer inspection it became clear that she was in a bit of a mess. She was crawling with fleas, had long overgrown nails, broken teeth and was suffering with a nasty cough.

After a full examination by our vet it was sadly revealed that Millie has mammary tumours, with an x-ray revealing several possible masses in her chest. We will be repeating these x-rays in 2 weeks to confirm this is definitely the case. Millie is receiving medication to help keep her comfortable and at this stage we do not know how long she will have. We are desperate to find Millie a long-term foster home where she can live out her days being showered with the love and attention she should have always had.

Millie has a wonderful temperament despite everything she has been through; she is such a sweet, friendly girl and really is no trouble at all. She does not appear to like other dogs and so we are looking for a home where she will be the only pet. Due to her age we also feel she deserves a quiet home, free from children, with someone around for most of the day.

We will continue to support Millie whilst she is in a foster home and therefore it is important that she is local to the rescue (Liverpool) so that she can meet regular appointments with our vet.

If you can help this special girl please do not hesitate to get in touch.”

Could you offer Millie a child-free foster home, close to Liverpool, where she will be your only pet and will have company most of the time?
