Ursal is about 10 years old and is a giant bear of a dog, weighing 45kg (7 stones). He is with Bid to Save a Stray rescue, fostered in Malvern, Worcestershire.

Ursal when in Romania

Ursal has come from Romania to seek his forever home. He is currently living with other dogs but he has no real interest in them and would thrive in a home on his own so that he can get all of the fuss and attention. Due to his size he would be best in a home without cats as he just lies down with no regard to what he might be lying on! Ursal needs owners who have experience of owning large dogs.

He loves going for walks and generally walks well on the lead, but he is very strong. Further training would be an advantage to overcome his desire to steam ahead, and he can be stubborn if he doesn’t want to walk forward. He is great when meeting new people and very gentle taking treats from you. Ursal loves his food, and with him being so tall his nose rests on the kitchen counter easily, so his new owner will need to be mindful of this. Ursal is a big strong lad and can be stubborn at times. He plonks his bottom down knowing that he can’t be moved until he chooses.

Ursal would make a great family dog and just enjoys being with people. He is housetrained and loves to roll around in the grass outside so must have a securely fenced garden to enjoy. He is a beautiful, confident dog who deserves a family to love him.
