25/8/2022 Adorable Heidi has a lovely home already lined up for her.

Adorable Heidi came into the care of Starfish Dog Rescue after being handed over by her breeder. She is now being fostered in an adult home with three other dogs. A few weeks later, a different dog is emerging from the little shutdown, worried girl who arrived in her foster home in Gloucestershire.
Heidi is a working Cocker Spaniel and is approximately 7 years old. She is the sweetest little girl; she does not really understand play with the other dogs but is trying her hardest to join in. She loves being with them and sleeping them so she will likely learn from them. She is still very sensitive and gets worried easily, but slowly her confidence is growing as you can see from lots of lovely videos here.
Heidi is now off-lead running and looking like a Spaniel without a care in the world which is so lovely to see. She has visited garden centres, agility shows and travels well in the car. She needs a home that understands about bringing on a dog that has not had a proper life before, helping her to continue her progress where her amazing foster family have left off.
Heidi will need other confident gentle dogs or dog around her but not dogs that will be in her face as it would worry and stress her. She would not suit a working home – she needs someone who has rescued before and knows Spaniels and the gentle love they bring into your life would suit her best.
Heidi deserves the best of homes as she is such a special little girl who has made such amazing progress. The scared, unsure Heidi is still there so it’s important she finds the home that really gets this and understands what she needs to flourish in the future.
Heidi will need an adult home for obvious reasons but would be fine with visiting grandchildren etc., and no full-time workers, just people who really do have an understanding about dogs and letting them progress gentle at their pace.
Heidi has now been spayed, received treatment for her ears and has been vaccinated.
