06/07/2022: Leon and Rossi have been adopted! Hooray!
Leon and Rossi are a senior couple who are with Safe Rescue, in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk. Here is their Facebook albumn.
Leon and Rossi lived with their owner in Spain all their lives, but now need a new home due to their owner’s ill health.
Rossi is small to medium-sized girl of around 10 years. She is incredibly affectionate and loves being around people for cuddles, treats and attention. She is still very fit and healthy for her age and is really enthusiastic for walks. Initially on walks she does have a tendency to pull, however as the walk goes on this decreases. She can be a bit reactive and barks at other dogs on her walks but this could simply be due to her getting used to her new surroundings.
Leon is a 12-year-old Pointer Cross who, other than being a bit hard of hearing, is also in very good shape for his age. He is extremely friendly and loves to be around people as much as possible. He needs a home where he has human company for the majority of the day. Leon enjoys his walks and is lovely on a lead. He has had a tendency to bark at other dogs on walks, however as he gets more settled this seems to be decreasing.
This pair would be happiest in a household where there is someone at home for most of the day. They would also enjoy the company of visiting people and dogs. Their foster carer is sure they will be fine with calm, kind children as they are such a friendly, soppy and loveable pair.
Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from Safe Rescue must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
