19/2/23 – Buddy has found a home!

Everyone’s friend Buddy is a 12-year-old Staffy cross currently in foster care through Dogs Trust Merseyside. He can live with children over 10 and another compatible dog or as an only pet.

Buddy has proved himself to be the perfect house guest at his foster home. He’s excellent at hoovering up any crumbs that might drop to the floor and loves snoozing on the sofa with the TV is on. Needless to say, he quite likes tennis balls!

Despite his eyesight not being as sharp as it was, the second he spots his lead and harness being picked up he is raring to go and won’t tolerate any dawdling on your behalf! He’s friendly with other dogs but a bit boisterous for some. Buddy loves his walkies and potters along quite happily by your side. He hears very little these days so he needs to stay on the lead when out and about. He’s attentive when he can see you, especially if you have a ball for him!

Buddy is clean and quiet at home, although he’ll have a gentle bark if there’s something he wants from you, or his blanket isn’t doing what he expects it to! He isn’t a fan of travelling and he’ll make his objections heard, although he’s quite happy to explore somewhere new when you get there.

He’s an easy-going, affectionate boy who doesn’t need much exercise. His legs aren’t as strong as they used to be but a gentle plod and a roll on the grass and he’s a very content boy. He’s especially happy surveying his ball collection.
