Cheerful, friendly Chyna is an 8-year-old Lurcher lady in the care of Lurcher Link in Halifax, West Yorkshire. She wants an adult-only home with not cats or small dogs. She’d probably prefer to be the only dog at home although she has lived with other, similar sized dogs before. She’s a robust girl of about 28kg, about 24″ to the shoulder and she’s full of beans!
Chyna is a very good girl in the home. She’s clean, quiet, housetrained, crate trained and can be left for a few hours once she knows the routine.
On walks, Chyna can get annoyed if other dogs are too pushy but is fine if they keep a respectful distance. She usually walks beautifully on the lead. However, if she does get excited about something and pulls, she is a very strong girl and so, she needs owners who are strong too. A head collar ensures complete control for those rare moments when you would otherwise be unexpectedly dragged through a hedge in pursuit of a squirrel!
Chyna would love to live in a rural or semi-rural area with lots of space. She is full of life and can have her giddy moments. In the garden or a secure paddock she gets a case of the zoomies sometimes which is hilarious to watch, from a safe distance. Her joyous friendliness can cause her to jump up and she doesn’t seem to realise what a lot of force she’s capable of. This is why she’d better not live with children and care needs to be taken with older people, who might be bowled over by her enthusiasm!
Chyna is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and healthy. She’s a loving, light-hearted lady who will bring joy to the right owners, people who can give her a peaceful home to relax in and the space to let out the zoomies from time to time.
