17/10/2023: Proof has been adopted! Hooray!
Adorable boy Proof is a 13-year-old Staffy in the care of Senior Staffy Club. He’s currently in a foster home on Wolverhampton.
Proof is a well behaved dog who gets on with most other dogs out and about but would prefer to be the only pet at home. He can live with dog-savvy children from age 12.
Proof loves his walks! He can be strong on the lead at first but settles down to a plod. He needs to stay on a long line for exploring purposes as his eyesight isn’t perfect. He’s more interested in lovely smells when he’s outside. You can’t beat a good hedgerow!
He will usually ignore other dogs on walks but sometimes barks to tell a shifty looking one to keep away. He’s easily moved on if this happens. He’s attentive to his human and just wants to get on with having fun.
Proof is happy travelling in the car. In the home, he’s quiet and likes to snooze a lot. He does love company and would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time. His foster carer takes him to work and he really enjoys just being with people at the office.
Proof is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has had some fatty lumps looked at by the vet but they’re nothing to be concerned about. He’s not very demanding of affection and isn’t very kissy but he does like to cuddle up on the sofa. He’s a really lovely, cheerful companion.
